    Abstract
    Bank has a vital role in the contribution of economic growth of a country. Operating as a business bank, Brac Bank has advanced in the private banking sector, concentrating on SME financing by its various specialisms. This report has been prepared as a requirement for the completion of my internship program at Brac Bank limited (Head Office). It has been diversified with sections about the organization itself, with its services and products and the general view Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) division of the bank. The report also includes the different aspects of providing loans to Small and Medium Entrepreneurs to build up their dreams. Brac bank SME division was established to become the “Missing Middle” and to create a socio- economic impact on the country. Within a span of 11 years, it has managed to become the country’s one of the largest finance provider in terms of SME. It has reached such a position with careful consideration regarding its policies and actions. In this report, such brief discussions have been included so as to understand the different perspective whilst acquiring loan and what criteria is followed by the bank in order to choose potential clients among the many applicants in order to avoid possible defaulters. In addition, some suggestions have also been included for the betterment of the SME Division based on the findings and analysis.
