Analysis of Foreign Exchange Operation of Southeast Bank Limited: A Comparative Study on Dhanmondi Branch

Abstract

I had completed my internship program at Southeast Bank Limited, Dhanmondi branch as it is mandatory requirement to complete my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. In my 90 days internship program I worked under two departments. One is foreign exchange department and another is account department. Majority of time I worked under foreign exchange department and only 15 days worked under account department. So I prepared my report on “Foreign Exchange Operation'' of SEBL, Dhanmondi branch and I divided this report Six chapters. First chapter is introductory chapter. In this chapter I just shortly discuss about origin and objective of the report, data collection process, scope and limitations of the report. Second chapter in this chapter I try to give an overview of Southeast bank limited. Here I provided their vision, mission, core values and objectives, core strength as well as hierarchy of Southeast bank limited. Third chapter is about my duties of SEBL dhanmondi branch. Fourth chapter is about “Analysis of Foreign Exchange Operation'' of Southeast bank limited. This chapter is the main part of the report. In this chapter I try to discuss about export procedures, import procedures and foreign remittance procedures. Chapter Five is about SWOT analysis. Here I try to find out the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of SEBL. Chapter Six is the last part of my report. In this chapter I included the findings, recommendation and conclusion of the report of my own point of view.
