Performance Appraisal System & Job Satisfaction In DUTCH BANGLA BANK LIMITED
Abstract
Today’s business world is very rigorous and as a student of business administration, I have observed in this complex situation through analyzing. It is important for me to achieve all fields of knowledge both theoretical and practical. My internship topic is about “Performance Appraisal & Job Satisfaction in Dutch Bangla Bank Limited”. Before completing the BBA program I was sent out to have a practical knowledge in corporate life as a part of my academic program. I have completed my internship program from DUTCH BANGLA BANK LIMITED in Dhanmondi branch House# 500A-1/A, Road No #8A Dhanmondi residential area, Dhaka-1205. All types of data and information are based upon my experience of three months internship program and theoretical knowledge that I have achieved from the BBA program and also valuable data related to the bank and its HR division. A performance appraisal is a systematic, general and periodic process that assesses an individual employee's job performance and productivity in relation to certain pre-established criteria and organizational objectives & employee satisfaction. The primary aim of the current study is to investigate the application of the performance appraisal system of Dutch Bangla Bank Limited & Finding the relationship between job satisfaction & appraisal system of the Bank. Dutch Bangla Bank is a renowned commercial private bank which supports social work broadly and it is one of the largest private donors in Bangladesh. This bank has started its journey under the vision of its chairman and founder M Sahabuddin Ahmed, in order to help the people financially and to make the people self-employed all over Bangladesh. DBBL has its biggest achievement in all others side. This report contains the various job positions and facilities provided by the bank. I made a conversation with the respective General banking in charge Momtaz Parvin and the executive officer Md Abul Hossain to collect my primary data. The secondary data has been collected from the websites and the most recently published annual reports of the bank and from different types of article. Also, further questions were asked to the officers orally where most of them remained in the limit as they need to keep their information confidential.
