    Abstract
The following internship report is made with the partial provisional completion of my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the United International University. I was able to have an internship in Standard Finis Oil Company (SFOC) in the HR and Administration Department where I got a pragmatic experience with the role of human resources and how they can be used with the use of digital technology such as HRIS (Human Resource Information System). As an intern, I was able to operate in four key areas of the company: the Head Office and Factory Unit 1, Factory Unit 2, and Salesforce Team (Marketing and Sales Department). This gave a broad perspective of the management of the HR activities in various operational environments. My tasks were entry of employee data, attendance and leaves, creation of appointment and separation letters, organization of interviews, creation of ID cards, and files. I also created Excel-based employee record trackers and purchase requisitions, which assisted the organization to have a proper and precise documentation. A significant portion of my education was associated with the implementation and the effects of HRIS in the essential functions of HR. The system enabled the effective management of recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal and compensation. In the recruitment and selection, the HRIS simplified the candidate tracking and evaluation process, which saves both cost and time because the data collected is reusable. As a component of training and development, HRIS data were used to determine the gaps in skills and to track training progress. The HRIS gave accurate and data-driven information during performance appraisal and compensation decisions, and this ensured that there was fair evaluation and timely processing of salary. The practical value of accuracy, coordination, and communication in HR, I acquired during this internship. I was able to get real-life experience on how to handle employee information of both factory employees and executives, the differences in employee payroll, eligibility to receive overtime and digital payment. The fact that I worked with various departments also enhanced my time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Finally, this internship helped in the transition between the theoretical concepts and actual HR practice. It has also shown that digital platforms such as HRIS can increase efficiency within organizations, provide grounds to make informed decisions, and minimise administrative tasks. Not only did the experience enhance my technical and professional skills, but it also helped to get a clear understanding of how HR operations impacted the overall organizational success. This report is a detailed report on my internship experience, HRIS application, and its relevance to HR decisions, and the lessons as well as recommendations concerning further improvement of HR operations.
