The Marketing Practices of Theatives: An Internship Experience
Abstract
Theatives is a pioneering CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) and animation studio founded in
April 2024 by Md. Hasibul Huq Shanto and Anas Ahmad. The company specializes in delivering
high-quality visual content that elevates brands and engages audiences across multiple platforms.
With a commitment to creativity, innovation, and client satisfaction, Theatives provides a diverse
range of services, including CGI advertisements, product animations, and game assets.
The report examines Theatives' strategic approach, operational practices, and competitive
landscape using various analytical frameworks, such as SWOT and Porter’s Five Forces.
Through these analyses, the report identifies Theatives' strengths, including its specialized
expertise, strong creative team, and innovative product-focused approach. However, it also
highlights key challenges, such as high competition, limited brand awareness, and the need for
continuous technological investment.
In addition, this report provides insights into the CGI and VFX industry in Bangladesh, where
demand for high-quality, visually compelling advertisements is growing. Theatives has an
opportunity to expand both locally and internationally by focusing on high-value services, such
as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) integrations, which can differentiate its
offerings and attract a broader client base.
Financial analysis and market positioning are also discussed, providing an overview of
Theatives' revenue streams, cost structures, and potential for profitability. The report concludes
with recommendations to enhance Theatives' market presence, expand its technological
capabilities, and strengthen client relationships to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.
This report reflects my learnings and observations during my internship, offering valuable
insights into the operations, challenges, and growth strategies within a CGI and VFX-focused
startup in a competitive industry landscape.
