"Project Lighthouse" stands as one of Nestle's most revolutionary and impactful initiatives, aimed at digitizing and revolutionizing traditional sales data management through the power of real-time data and digital image recognition (DIR) technology. Project Lighthouse Overview: Purpose and Objectives: "Project Lighthouse" seeks to transform sales and marketing by shifting from intuition-based decision-making to data-driven insights. Its primary objectives include enhancing sales and marketing effectiveness and enabling real-time data-driven decision-making. Phases: The project is organized into six key phases, from master data compilation to a full rollout of dedicated smartphones for distributor sales representatives. Timeline: "Project Lighthouse" commenced in February 2023 and is scheduled to go live on November 1st, 2023, marking a significant milestone in Nestle Bangladesh PLC's journey towards data-driven excellence. Commercial Development Intern's Role: As the sole intern dedicated to the project, the Commercial Development Intern assumes a multifaceted role: Supervision of Pilot Testing: Responsible for overseeing the pilot testing activities, guiding and leading DIR field operators, and ensuring the smooth execution of data capture processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively engages with cross-functional teams, participating in focus group discussions, content creation, ideation, and collaboration with other projects across the organization.
