    Abstract
    This paper, titled " Analysis of Non-Bank Financial Institution Industry in Bangladesh: An Internship Experience Perspective", is based on the knowledge and experience gained during an internship with IDLC Finance Ltd.'s Marketing Communication department. The dissertation topic was chosen after consulting with the respective department's internship advisor and the organization's supervisor. The report comprises initially an introduction part where the objectives and significance are illustrated. Secondly, there is a complete analysis of the Non-Banking Financial Institution industry, where the specification, trend & growth and performance of the NBFI industry is portrayed. Presently not only the Banking industry, the non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) in Bangladesh play a vital role in bridging financial intermediation gaps by offering a diverse variety of investment products and risk pooling services. NBFIs have grown significantly in recent years, demonstrating the importance of economic innovation and holding the promise of speeding up financial intermediation by fulfilling long-term funding demands. Thirdly, there is a complete analysis of IDLC Finance Limited, which one of the most pioneering company in the NBFI industry. The analysis comprises a detailed information about the overall structural and functional activities. It also highlights the strategies of how the organization is performing and holding a competitive position by creating value to the customers. The report also depicts IDLC's many products and services, as well as the company's corporate structure. The success of IDLC's campaigns, as well as the decision-making process, are reviewed in this study. Finally, in the last part my overall internship experience is illustrated with the key responsibilities I have been assigned with for the 3-month internship period, the trainings I acquired such as data skimming, uses of affinity program, etc. It also includes how the core marketing team takes any decision while running a campaign for enhancing their brand value and how I have contributed in the process. The key findings of this report are to provide a detailed overview on the NBFI industry, IDLC Finance Limited and the contribution of an intern in IDLC’s business process.
