    Abstract
This paper is being written to complete my BBA program of United International University. It discusses my internship experience in Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, Islampur Branch in Dhaka. I have put my best attempt to present a proper view of Islamic banking activities and functional strategies of IBBL. Within this paper I have suitably put the outcomes of my experience in all the chapters. The opening chapter is the introductory portion of this analytical report which highlights the Islamic banking industry of the world, its current state, history of Bangladesh Banking Sector and its current state and contribution of Islamic banking in the economy of Bangladesh. The second part is concentrated on analysis of the industry, its specification, size, trend, maturity, economic factors, technological factors, supplier power, and buyer power, threat of substitute and industry rivalry. The third chapter presents an analysis of the Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd., its history, products/services and operations. As a publicly listed company, general public has economic stake in the growth and performance of the company. Thus, the bank contributes hugely to the country’s economic environment and growth. Moreover, it does a significantly important job of financial inclusion as a large portion of Muslims in our country involves in banking activities relying on the Shariah based operation of this bank. The chapter also analyzes the strength, weakness, opportunities and threat of the organization as well. The forth chapter discusses my internship experience at IBBL describing my duties, responsibilities, training, my contribution to departmental functions, the skills I required to use and new skills I developed while working as an intern there. The fifth chapter offers some recommendations to improve the departmental functions of IBBL and also points out some required self-improvements drawn from my working experience at IBBL. The last chapter concludes the report with a brief summary of the report. The report mentions the facilities and benefits Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited provides to their clients. Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited should work sincerely to convince and sustain their existing employees. The report also includes recommendation and conclusion consistent with my point of view, which I believe would improve the environment of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited if implemented efficiently.
