Procurement Process and My contribution in Siemens Bangladesh Limited

The report is originated in result of my internship program. The BBA program of United International University consists of a three credit internship program which requires at least twelve weeks working with a domestic or international/multinational organization in order to complete the BBA program. Internship is considered as the practice of corporate behavior to enhance leadership skills. As the parties; educational institution and the organization substantially benefits from such a program. The process establishes networking contracts, which may help student to get a job, which means students can train and prepare them self for the job market. Internship gives professional experience with practical orientation of the business operations to overcome challenges. In such a state of the affairs I join in Siemens Bangladesh Ltd., and got involved with the overall operations and activities of the company. This internship affiliation report has been prepared on the basis of the experience achieved during the Internship Program. Being an intern the main challenge was to translate the theoretical concepts into real life experience. The first section of this report consists of an initial part which has been developed for the proper execution of the entire report. Second part has explained the working experiences of my internship period with Power and Gas department, Supply Chain Management and Finance & accounting department of SBL. The remaining part consisted of my learning observation and views towards SBL. SBL is one of the leading Multinational Company in the world. For Siemens, being a pioneer means more than promoting new technologies and fostering innovation. Siemens determined to break new ground, launching cutting-edge products that can be integrated into proven solutions. Moreover its employees are pursuing this aim with great conviction and passion. The kind of teamwork that enables all players to give their best, shoulder their responsibilities and leverage their strengths is what brings forth true pioneering achievements, whether in 1847 – the year Siemens was founded – or today. Siemens’s leading spirit ensures that Siemens will continue providing answers to the questions of the day well into the future. In line with that, SBL is very careful to all its rules and procedures. SBL has more competent managers in every sector and their employees are also much competent. All of the employees are so sincere towards their duties, which also inspire the new recruits to hold the culture. Particularly Finance & Accounting Dept, SCM Dept and Power and Gas Dept are very much careful towards their duties. So they also maintain all of their procedures guide lines diligently.
