Problems and Prospects of Eco- tourism in Bangladesh
Abstract
The purpose of this project report is to problems and prospects of eco-tourism of Bangladesh.
Eco-tourism is a concentrated part of the tourism sector. The main concern of eco-tourism is quite different from conventional tourism. Eco-tourism focuses on responsible traveling involving both the travelers and host on the welfare of nature. Travelers get more opportunity to come close to nature as well as people in eco-tourism rather than conventional tourism. They can experience Mother Nature and the local culture as they are part of it. Eco-tourism reduces the negative aspects of conventional tourism and makes tourism a joy able experience for both travelers and nature. Because of these environmental criteria of eco-tourism people around the world are getting more interested in this type of tourism.
This report gathered information on Eco-tourism activity conducted around the world as well as Bangladesh. The main focus was to find out the prospects and problems of Eco-tourism happening in Bangladesh. It helped me to gather knowledge in this sector especially on the eco-tourism activity of Bangladesh.
The main focus of the research is to show the present scenario of eco-tourism sector in Bangladesh, find out the advantages of this sector, what problem people face regarding eco-tourism and find out a reasonable solution of the problems which will boost the growth of eco-tourism in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is a country with great potential for eco-tourism. Although the sector is less known in this country there are a lot of scopes for eco-tourism in Bangladesh. The vast natural resources of the country with the age-old tribal community make a great host for eco-tourism activity. There are lots of people mostly tribal communities are doing the eco-tourism activity in the rural areas. Most of the people are unaware of the eco-tourism activity happening in the country. For lack of proper promotions and other things, this sector is still an alien in the tourism industry of Bangladesh.
