Merchandising is a process through which products a replanned, developed, executed, and presented to the buyer. It is the department that mediates marketing and production departments. The purpose of this report is to produce how merchandising activities enables Garments Company in selling their garments to the foreign buyer in the case of Green Life Apparels, Bangladesh. The readymade garment sector plays an important part in the economic development of Bangladesh. As our biggest foreign currency earner, this sector reckoned for 86.84 of the total export earnings in the financial time 2022. It made up 9.25 of the country’s GDP at that time, and if the supplementary diligence is considered, that share will nearly be 14- 15. Two-thirds of the country’s labor force (roughly 4 million) is engaged in this sector, of which nearly 85 are women. It's the biggest formal sector employer in the country and is considered the backbone of frugality. The profitable success of this sector, still, does not reflect the overall scenario prevailing in this sector. Numerous financial and policy in centimes from the government have failed to insure the rights and safety of the workers, who are the driving force of this sector. Unsafe and unhealthy working conditions and social compliance gaps have been hindering the progress of the Sector. Deaths and injuries of hundreds of workers in recent accidents, workers ’ uneasiness and disgruntlement, and the negative image of this Sector in the global request have redounded in the loss of GSP installations from the USA, the trouble of pullout of analogous import boons by European countries and boycott calls from concerned consumers abroad. For the above reasons, governance in this sector needs to be bettered by reducing the cost of corruption and icing translucency and responsibility of oversight associations so that it can repel the competition and insure workers’ rights. In connection to the purpose of this study, it is evident that for the better performance of the merchandising department of the Green Life Apparels, areas including operation cycle times, capacity checks, research, and development, employing the line layout, workstation arrangement, and line setup time are important. Based on the findings, several recommendations are forwarded that should be dealt with with greater attention and priority.en_US
