Foreign remittance is one of driving forces of the economy of Bangladesh. Foreign remittance sent by Bangladeshi nationals working abroad is actually paving the country’s route to the status of a developed country. There are many organizations, both government and private, involved in assisting Bangladeshi nationals to go abroad with suitable recruitment and acceptable appointments. Munshi Enterprise Limited is one such organization providing the services of assisting Bangladeshi nationals to be recruited abroad. I started working as an interned student in the aforesaid organization in the service processing department. The whole service processing unit of Munshi Enterprise Limited is actually concerned with the documentation part, preparing or suggesting the preparation of necessary documents that are expected to be needed in the process of being recruited abroad. After the first interview with the organization and the initial screening, the selected candidates’ passports with other related documents are sent to the processing unit of Munshi Enterprise Limited. In this very processing unit, a short list will be made by using several other criteria developed by Munshi Enterprise Limited. Then data are scanned for each shortlisted candidate and proper documents including elaborate bio-data and/CVs are collected in the right order ready to be processed in the process of ensuring the right kind of employment for the right kind of people. After getting visas from various embassies, successful candidates’ passports and job offers are scanned and listed according to the country and the nature of the jobs. Then the successful candidates’ names with other supporting documents will be sent to the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) and the government will issue a BMET card for each of the successful candidate if the supporting documents were found to be are in the right order. Such BMET cards are also scanned by the service processing unit and a soft copy can be issued on demands. The success of such organizations involved in processing foreign employment for the Bangladeshi nationals largely depends on their ability to screen the right candidates, train the selected candidates, and help the successful candidates to understand expected roles and skills. Munshi Enterprise Limited is found to be very successful in doing all these tasks and thereby significantly contributing to the economic health of their clients in particular and the country in general.en_US
