dc.description.abstractThis study reviews the effect of COVID-19 of banking sector in Bangladesh by analyzing their profitability ratios. Profitability ratio is calculated through Excel with data from the annual reports of selected banks. The selected profitability ratios for the banks are net profit margin, net interest margin, efficiency ratio, return on assets & return on Equity. The corona virus has reduced the profits of almost every industry. The report was prepared to check whether there was any impact on profits of banks in Bangladesh due to the corona virus. 25 banks have been randomly selected out of which 4 are government banks, 11 are private banks, 5 are Islamic banks and 5 are foreign banks. 5 profitability have been selected. 5 of them prove that the profit of the bank has decreased due to Corona virus. The main goal of the study is to understand the consequences of corona virus pandemic in the banking sector in Bangladesh and how to get back to normal. What kind of changes have taken place in the revenue of the banks, how much their interest rates have changed day by day and how their profits have changed according to their assets and equity. These have been shown through this report. With this report, those who will do research on the profits of banks all over the world will easily benefit from it. They will easily get data from Bangladesh which will facilitate their research work.en_US
