The City Bank is one of the biggest and oldest banks in Bangladesh. CBL is a private commercial bank operating its activities throughout Bangladesh. The main motive of the report is to analyze the “Financial Performance Analysis of the City Bank Limited” over the financial year 2015 to 2019. For analyzing financial performance analysis I used traditional techniques of financial statement analysis namely vertical analysis, horizontal analysis, and ratio analysis. Trend analysis helps analysts to predict future stock price improvements of the bank. In Ratio analysis, I calculated some financial ratios on different dimensions which are used to determine the overall performances of the City Bank. The ratio analysis helps to analyze how CBL manages its growth as well as its current situation in terms of financial position. The major findings from ratio analysis revealed that the liquidity position of the City bank remains stable over the study periods but its earnings-generating capacity has been significantly declined. In addition to this, the debt burden also increased over the years. We can conclude that the overall performances are not good for the bank and the management should concentrate on overcoming these problems.en_US
