| dc.description.abstract | This report is mainly on Analysis of General Banking department of Social Islamic Bank. It was quite difficult for me to evaluate the overall organization within this short span of time. Moreover, all the branch activities are controlled by the Head Office. Therefore, my report includes all the information of Moulve Bazar Branch. For preparing this report, I have used both primary and secondary information. The primary information was collected through interview process and secondary information was gathered from annual report of the bank and internet source. The report contains total six chapters.
The first chapter is Introduction of the report where I analyzed about banking industry how it connected with the economy, then objective of the report and what are the limitation and scopes that we learn by analyzing the banking sector. This report will help policy maker and participants of the banking organization in making decisions.
The second chapter is about Bangladesh Banking Industry review where I have discussed some issues. At present, lots of changes can be seen in banking industry due to size trend and maturity of the industry. Bank are trying their best to cope up with the changes. Banking sector now faces lots of challenges and some barriers also exist but, they have many opportunities since banking sector is in growth stage.
The third chapter contains the information of Social Islamic Bank Limited. I try to find out about their history, mission, vision, values, the product and services that they offered. Then how they run their operations, how many departments does they have in Moulvi Bazar Branch, how many branches does they have, SIBL strength, weakness, their opportunity and threats of Social Islamic Bank and beside that also analyzed their financial performance of previous years.
The fourth chapter is all about my internship experience where I was asked to work with General banking department and in this chapter, I provide detail information about my duty and responsibilities those I have completed in Moulvi Bazar branch and provide some of my observations of general banking and overall view by using my academic knowledge and my experience.
In fifth chapter I pointed out the works of General banking sector. This chapter is basically the biggest chapter in my report. Here I covered all the works that ensure by this department like account opening, closing, clearing, permission for issuing cheques, remittances, pay order and many more analytical aspects.
The last chapter is all about conclusion and recommendation where I present some future perspective issue that Social Islamic Bank Limited may face such as bad loans and malpractices. Social Islamic Bank Limited has potential employees and renowned clients for which they are making their credit policy management stronger. | en_US |
