Corporate Governance Practices of Listed Banks in Bangladesh: A case study on The Relationship between Corporate Governance Score and Profitability

Abstract

The study showed how Corporate Governance Score and Profitability of banks are related. This report contains the information and learning about corporate governance, guidelines of corporate governance, sustainable profitability and the relationship between Corporate Governance Score and Profitability. This report also covers the history & introduction of banks, its mission & vision, its products & services, and also the position of the bank. In 2nd chapter, the study discussed about the overview of corporate governance, corporate governance guidelines of Bangladesh (2006-2012), corporate governance score, profitability and relationship between corporate governance score and profitability of listed banks in Bangladesh. In 3rd chapter, the study research hypothesis has been discussed. In 4th chapter, I have discussed about the methodology of the research. In 5th chapter, the findings and analyses of relationship between corporate governance score and profitability of banks are described with interpretation. At the end of this study, suggestion and recommendation is provided as per learning basis on my findings and analysis of banks. This report will provide a better and brief learning about relationship between Corporate Governance Score and profitability of listed banks in Bangladesh.
