Internship Report on General and Service Operation Activities at G. Kibria & Co

Abstract

This internship report highlights the experience of my work at the company of G. Kibria & Co., a leading Chartered Accountant (CA) firm in Bangladesh, providing audit & assurance, taxation, business process outsourcing & corporate finance & advisory services. The main aim of this internship was to fill the knowledge gap between the theoretical and practical world by getting exposure into the working of a professional CA firm. During the internship term, I was posted with a major assignment on auditing for the “Ahmed Group”. I was allowed to watch the financial statements draft preparation, planning, auditing of documents, tax returns filing, as well as communication with clients. The report also provides insight into the clients' perceptions of the firm's quality of service, the areas where the firm excels, and the areas that require improvement. Despite the limitations in the observation scope, the internship has helped me to learn a lot about professional accounting practices and the management of their client.
