FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF BRAC BANK BY DECOMPOSING THE ROE MODEL

Abstract

The main purpose of this report is to analyze the financial performance of BRAC Bank Limited and compare it with some same generation banks of the BRAC Bank Ltd era such as Bank Asia LTD, Mercantile Bank, One Bank Ltd, Premier Bank LTD, Standard Bank Ltd and Trust Bank LTD etc. In the first part of the report, it discusses about the introduction as well as the overview of the BRAC Bank Limited which is one of the third generation banks in the country. Some of the primary and company hierarchy information is also provided in that part. In the rest of the report, a brief idea about the decomposition of ROE Model and the breakdown of this model have been given and the decomposition of ROE model has been first calculated for the BRAC Bank and compared with the industry average. Then, for the other banks, decomposition of ROE has done and compared individually and annually for 3 years.
