Analysis of Loans and Advances of the City Bank Limited

Abstract

The internship report has been prepared on “Analysis of Loans and Advances of the City Bank Limited” based on secondary data and information. The information has been collected from different sources, such as the annual report, various websites, and different journals. For the analysis I analyzed the Loan and Advances of City Bank Limited on the basis of different dimensions. They are - Loans, cash credits, overdrafts; Loans, and advances including bills discounted & purchased; industry-wise loans & advances; Sector-wise loans & advances; Securities against loans including bills purchased and discounted.

From individual segments, I have calculated the percentages of changes in the particulars of the selected segments of Loans and advances of City Bank Limited. It gave me a scenario of their activities and performance over five years and how City Bank Limited is doing in terms of Loans and Advances. Then I made a graph of percentages of changes on selected segments particulars in 2017 and describe the changes.

From the analytical part, I found that City Bank Limited gives more concentration on Industrial Credits Loans, Private Sector Loans, and Loans against Collateral of Movable / Immovable Assets.
