Life Cycle Costing and Environmental Impact of Green Tiger Electric Two-wheeler in Bangladesh
Abstract
This internship report analyzes the life cycle costing and environmental impact of the Green Tiger Electric Vehicle Two-Wheeler. The report primarily discusses the acquisition costs (purchase price and registration fee), operating expenses, maintenance costs, battery usage, and replacement costs of two-wheeler electric vehicles. It also examines the significant environmental impact of electric cars.
This report calculates the life-cycle cost of a two-wheeler electric bike by combining the purchase price, registration fee, operating costs, maintenance costs, and battery costs. In the case of Environmental Impact Analysis, we have analyzed the environmental impact of electric vehicles, including reduced air and noise pollution and reduced dependence on fuel.
This report shows that, in life-cycle costing, the overall cost of Green Tiger's electric two-wheeler is lower than that of petrol bikes, including purchase price and maintenance costs. In terms of environmental performance, electric bikes emit zero carbon emissions compared to petrol bikes and significantly reduce noise pollution.
The government needs further to reduce the registration fee for Green Tiger Electric Vehicles, install charging stations in various locations, and provide subsidies for electric vehicles to encourage more people to use them and further reduce harmful environmental impacts.
