    Abstract
    This report clarifies detailed understanding about the procurement function in Unimart Ltd., one of the finest retail cum service providers in Bangladesh. Unimart Ltd is a key player in the retail and food & beverage sectors, recognised for its quality services and innovative approach. This report aims to analyze the Procurement process of Unimart through its procurement framework, objectives and strategies followed by how they face challenges in achieving their goals and what could be done for improvement. The report begins with a profile of the Company, which includes its history, mission and vision. Unimart, under 7 Ventures has scaled up its business operations and has now become a brand that people trust in the retail industry since it started functioning in 2013. It enforces delivery of high-end products/service and ensures that procurement completes in a hassle freeway impacting the company’s reputation. Unimart's procurement activity has a supplier identification, selection process in place followed by relationship management and finally transaction execution. The study discusses the intricacies of these processes, as well as long-term strategies implemented to optimize their efficiency and reliability. It takes a deep dive into various challenges faced by Unimart in their purchase process, supply chain hiccups, price volatility and supplier reliability. The report goes away with different strategies to address these problems e.g using data analytics for advanced forecasting, dynamic pricing mechanisms and improved quality management systems. The report addresses the sustainability focus, noting that environmental and social factors need to be integrated into procurement decisions. To fulfil this pact with the environment, Unimart has worked hard on promoting sustainable supply chains as one of its corporate sustainability goals — underpinning the company's commitment to responsible business practices.
