The participation of female labors drives up the economic growth to a huge extent. As women make half the population of a country it is very important that they do not fall back in the path of economic development. In this study we are going to know about the status of female labor force participation in Bangladesh. The participation of female labor force are seen to increase along with the economic growth as of the mid-1990s, and has already surpassed the 6% level of GDP growth in 2003 to 2004. The growth is slower compared to the males because of the various barriers and discriminations the female labor force has to face in both the corporate and personal life. The different policies and initiatives taken by the government and NGOs like taking maternity leaves and equal wage rate for both the genders will motivate the women force to work more and participate in the economic growth with more enthusiasm and will help the GDP to rise sharply.en_US
