dc.description.abstract‘Genetically Modified foods’ are the foods which have been got from such living beings of which DNAs have been changed by Genetic engineering. Throughout the last century, the Genetic Engineering has been greatly developed. As a result many GM foods have been being contrived. These have ensured the food value and nutrition. On the other hand, its utility can be seen in the field of medicine, such as, the invention of insulin. Yet there are both good and evil sides of all new inventions. The idea of some people who are anxious about health is that genetically modified foods are not good in all respects though it has not yet been proved to be affective for anyone. On the other hand, Non GM food producers fear that their goods demand will decline. They sometimes have gone against the GM food through revolutions, syndications etc. In Bangladesh, most of the people don’t have any proper idea about GM food. But they who are aware of the real fact arouse the questions on the health issue. On the other hand the non-GM foods as having been produced less can’t fulfill the demand of the huge population. So their goods’ prices become higher. To overcome this deficit, the GM foods of which prices are in the capacity of the buyers are playing a very active role which is undoubtedly so praiseworthy. In Bangladesh, different kinds of GM foods have been being contrived. So deficit of foods can be overcome and foreign exchange may also be earned by marketing the modified foods if the government patronizes the same.en_US
