Performance Appraisal System of TVS Auto Bangladesh Ltd.
Abstract
Every organization has performance appraisal system set up for evaluating employee performance. TVS Auto Bangladesh Ltd is not different from this concept. I got an opportunity in TVS Auto Bangladesh Ltd to do my internship. I had finished my report about "Performance Appraisal system” on TVS Auto Bangladesh Ltd.
TVS Auto Bangladesh is a joint venture company between Rian motors ltd (sister concern of Sony-Rangs group). It was established in 2007. It is the first joint venture company in auto mobile sector in Bangladesh.
It is the third largest motorbike company in India. Its head office is in Chennai. In Bangladesh their head office is in Tejgaon. They have HR department for human resource management. They do performance appraisal in a yearly and half yearly basis. It is very important to do performance appraisal to help the employees to do better. Employees need to know how they are doing and what should be following to do better. Performance appraisal reduce the rate of turnover which save the money of an organization.
HR department of TVS Auto follows weighted checklist method and grading method to do performance appraisal. Supervisor or head of HR department give them a score on the basis of their work and other qualities.
