AN EVALUATION OF BANKING SERVICE IN BANGLADESH: A STUDY AT THE DHAKA BANK LTD

Abstract

The importance of banks in the development of overall economy of a country cannot be described in short. The whole economy has a greater dependence on the financial services of banking sector. This report is about Dhaka Bank Limited and its recital sign in the Evaluation of Banking Service. The Dhaka Bank is one of the renowned private banks in Bangladesh which has started its journey in 1995. This report is based on the services of Dhaka Bank Ltd. Whole report is divided into five parts. After introduction an analysis of bandking sector of Bangladesh is discussed with an emphasis on size, trend and maturity of the industry, technological factors, political, legal and regulatory factors, and industry rivalry. After that, an organizational analysis is given with the inclusion of customer mix, product/service mix, service quality, swot analysis, and strategies of challenges and opportunities. Then internship experiences are placed. Throughout my internship period, I have to engender knowledge that’s help to prepare the report. My main task is to preparing job description, regular indexing, maintain personal index file of the employees, putting information in them, inserting documentation and arrange them with a new table of content, printing documents, providing services to the customers, clarification of their queries, doing general banking activities, opening cash accounts and any other duties given by my supervisor. The foremost determination of this report is to get knowledge about Dhaka Bank. In addition, achievement the real experience of corporate life and the theoretical knowledge in the real life. This internship report discloses the background, overview of the bank, history of the organization, corporate information, product and services by the bank. Finally, this report comprises with some positive and negative findings from my inclusive internship at Dhaka bank Limited and end at providing some recommendations.
