dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this thesis research was to understand the haor area of Bangladesh and what initiative should be taken to establish resilience and sustainable livelihood there. The north-eastern part of Bangladesh is one of the most critical areas to live in because of natural disasters; mainly because of the flash flood. People of haor area live a diverse life with extreme hardship, this research tried to find out, what can be done to make their life easier. Research was conducted using the qualitative approach which is guided by the knowledge of secondary data review. Sustainable development teaches us to leave no one behind but, people of haor area are those unfortunate people, who always end up staying behind. The main objective of this thesis research is to find out how to increase resilience & scope of sustainable livelihood in the haor area for development of the people.en_US
