An Internship Report on HR Practices of DEEPTO Television
Abstract
DEEPTO TV is a private cable and satellite channel in Bangladesh that had started its journey in 1993. Kazi Farms Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary operating under Kazi Media Limited and its transmission began on November 18, 2015. The report is designed to determine the human resource practices they perform, the human resource processes that DEEPTO TV usually apply and their consequences. The result of the study provides useful information on HR policies are people-oriented, formalized, and aligned with differentiated approaches. However, at the level of the different local administrations HR policies developed at the core level may be remote from the real HR procedures in DEEPTO Television. This internship report consists of four broad chapters. The name of the 1st chapter is “Introduction” which actually introduces the internship report and has carried several information on this internship report. The 2nd chapter named “Company Profile” that includes the general business profile of DEEPTO Television. However, overall the 2nd chapter will provide a better understanding of DEEPTO Television. The 3rd chapter and the most important chapter are the HR policies and practices of DEEPTO TV that describes all the human resource management related policies and practices performed the organization. The final chapter is analysis and findings chapter, where a SWOT analysis will be conducted to identify the HR department’s position in carrying out the DEEPTO TV’s mission. At last of the study, a few suggestions will be provided based theoretical knowledge of human resource management for the betterment of the DEEPTO Televisions Human Resource Department. Hopefully, if proper implementation can be conducted of that recommendation, their HR policy might be improved in coming days.
