Retail Banking Activities of The City Bank Limited

Abstract

The report discusses about the retail banking activities, history of City Bank, different type of products of City Bank, retail product of City Bank, feature of retail banking, cards of City Bank, operation of Cards, benefit of having cards, interest rate on retail product. City Bank Ltd. deals with four different and significant banking divisions which are the driving force of the bank such as Retail Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, SME Banking and Treasury Banking. Here the report has been prepared on Retail banking (Including cards) of CBL and it covers detail about retail banking activities performs by the bank. The report is broadly categorized in six different chapters. In chapter 1, I discussed about the origin of this report, objective, scope, methodology and limitation of the report. Chapter 2 describes the background, history of CBL, City Bank’s mission, vision, values, function and different type of products. Chapter 3 focuses on the retail banking activities of CBL. It includes different types of account like Transactional account, Term Deposit Account, Foreign Currency Account, Loan, NRB, NFB. Chapter 3 describes Credit cards, Debit cards, Interest rate & payment of cards. Also this chapter included Card related information & Operation of cards. In chapter 5, I have mentioned all my duties & responsibilities during internship. In Chapter 6, I have described my overall observation and conclusion and bibliography.
