A Study on Performance Evaluation System at Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited
Abstract
Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited is a private limited company. The aim of Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited is to improve their place constantly as a top Pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh and make a noticeable foot mark its global pharmaceutical market. Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited believes in creating incomparable value to its consumer and all other stakeholders by incurring quality pharmaceuticals care and solutions by insuring right solicitation and improvement of resources and practices.
Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited is well known for its grate product quality, world class industrial amenities, advance competences and exceptional services. Environmental health and safety are an essential concern of Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited’s community concern. As a medicine manufacturing company, they contribute in health care not only by the manufacturing quality product to their consumers, even by their promise to care for the environmental health and protection of their coworkers and the peoples wherever they maneuver.
The purpose of this report on Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited is evaluate performance evaluation system followed by the company and also finding some of the lacking and providing counteractive activities.
In this regards this report has tried to present the current practice of performance evaluation. As per preset job description, the performance results are evaluated by the departmental heads in coordination with HRD. A well-developed evaluation for is distributed two months earlier before the evaluation. Form is filled up each by appraiser with discussion with apprise. All Departmental head forward performance appraisal form after completing them to HRD. For final evaluation of Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited. I have the following findings:
• However, Sharif Pharmaceuticals Limited has a well define guidelines and techniques for performance assessment but those are not being practiced properly and it has some improvement scope in setting Key result area and appropriately assessing workforces by the line managers.
• As performance evaluation system is a continuous process rather one-time effort. Management have to ensure the proper coordination from other departments to continuously monitor their performance.
Based on these observations and finding, following recommendation are offered:
To ensure most appropriate evaluation of performance, Sharif pharmaceuticals may reform the structure of their evaluation system, redesign the responsibilities and many more. Introducing the well define mission and organizational vision also will be beneficial to alien the performance of the employee. Once the organizational mission, vision is set they may cascade down that to departmental objectives and even at individual level. Once they have set individual objectives, they can easily the key result area.
