Abstract
Recruitment and selection are critical processes for any effective organization because hiring the right people enhances and maintains organizational efficiency and is linked to the overall organizational development. The Human Resource Department's primary role in every organizational unit is recruiting and selection, and the recruitment process is the first step toward building competitiveness.
Recruitment and selection activities may be thought of as the foundation upon which all other functions of an organization are built. The importance of providing the right manpower with the right expertise for the right tasks has become increasingly important as the business environment becomes increasingly competitive. Knowledge and skills development is vital to the health of organizations.
Turnover has become a major concern for every business. Maintaining a professional workforce is vital for an organization's sustainability to remain stable. It is obvious that in order to minimize turnover, job satisfaction must be achieved. Employee satisfaction is dependent on proper recruiting and selection, as happier workers are less likely to leave their jobs.
