|dc.description.abstract||The internship is an attempt to know how they theoretical knowledge that I have gathered from my courses, can be applied to a practical situation. As a student of the Bachelor in Business Administration program of School of Business and Economics of United International University, it is a part of the curriculum for a student to undergo an internship at a good organization. So for this purpose, I got the opportunity to complete my internship at Mutual Trust Bank Limited.
In the first chapter of the internship report, the general knowledge of a bank as a financial institution is discussed. Also, there are brief discussions about how the study originated from, the objectives, the scopes and also the limitation so the study is firmly discussed.
In the second chapter of the internship report, the overview of the organization that I was an intern of, has been collected. The sources of the information were both internal and external sources.
In the third chapter of the internship report, the information regarding the general banking sectors of a commercial bank is elaborately described. Also, the function of the general banking sector has a comprehensive discussion in this part of the report.
In the fourth chapter of the internship report, I have stated the tasks I have fulfilled while working in the bank as an intern. The tasks where both in office and on field which gave inclusive idea about the functions of a bank and the managerial functions of a bank.
In the fifth and final chapter of the internship report, the marketing implementation of the bank is discussed profoundly. Here an intensive idea can be achieved about how a bank promotes the brand and how the promotional tools are used, despite being a financial institution.
The goal of the report was to know how the functions of the bank are done and how a bank implements its marketing strategies to reach to the target consumers. The activities of general banking of a bank have immense importance for a bank. General banking sector is consider as the face of a bank as this is the first place where the consumers get their services as well as this is where the consumer interacts with the company.
As a bank is a financial institution, so marketing is not the most important department. But despite that, Mutual Trust Bank has taken few marketing strategies where the bank has used several promotional tools to get close to the targeted customer as well as the potential target market. All of the strategies are discussed in the report intensively.
The banking industry of Bangladesh is one of the prominent industry sectors of the country. Because of the lucrative growth of the industry, the incoming of competitors are high which is causing a top ranked bank like Mutual Trust Bank to struggle in future. The marketing strategies are one of the best solutions to fight against the race as this will help the bank to reach the targeted customers much faster.||en_US
